My cat (& love of my life!) Chairman had an allergic reaction to the enamel on his teeth which caused them to rot, and he's only 3 years old. He was in terrible pain. I took him first to the SF SPCA, and they quoted me $3,000 to treat him, which I couldn't afford. A friend told me about Linda Mar, so I took Chairman down to Pacifica. They were able to treat him for much less money, and with much more personal care. His doctor, Lisa Eshman, is the BEST DAMN VETERINIAN in the world! I can't say enough good things--she is just ... read more
Business response:
So glad to hear that Chairman is doing well and you had a good experience at our hospital. We are grateful for the trust that you have placed in us and look forward to continuing to provide support for you and Chairman.
I have been going here for nearly 15 years - I find Dr. Cucaro and Dr. Struebel to be fantastic, the younger vets who seem to circle through guilt pet owners into to every test known to man (perhaps it is lack of experience, perhaps it is the presence of student loans - hard to say). All in all the animal care has been great. I recently switched to another vet because I simply cannot take the front office staff anymore. I had numerous expereiences with calling in a perscription refill, getting a callback saying it was read... read more
I have been going here for 9 years. They have taken great care of my dog and my cat (who is now 19). I have been in several times for emergencies and other calamities and they have always provided caring, professional care. I am traveling and hate to go anywhere else. Excellent vet, excellent service.
If you want to know about this Vet Hospital read this review. I have used these vets over two dozen times, for multiple cats and dogs, over about 10 years. They are pretty darn good. I moved out of Pacifica, and continue to use them even though it means coming from San Francisco. The bad reviews don't jive with my experience. For routine check ups and the like they do a fine job. When the chips are down and an animal is very ill they really shine. When my last cat was sick, ended up being terminal, they were incre... read more
I have no idea why the bad reviews. We have been taking our cats here for years and they are the only vet on the coastside that worked with us to correctly diagnose our cats asthma problem. They even referred us to a specialist who was an expert in Kitty Asthma who came up with a solution for our cat was experiencing chronic vomiting. The vet has been available, curteous, and knows are animals. Dr. Craig and Dr. Eshman are wonderful and spend time with out cats to truly take care of them. If you are on the coastside - g... read more
I honestly don't understand some of these harsh reviews. My parents have taken our pets to this hospital for the past 20 years and Linda Mar Veterinary Hospital has taken care of my own pets for the past ten years. This place is filled with amazing, compassionate people! You can tell that they care about not only the patients but also their owners. There are so many good things going on with this place that I just know when I bring one of my pets in, they're going to get the best care. My dogs usually see Dr. Strubel and Dr... read more
The staff is very friendly and took great care of our Lola every time we were there. We were there a few times to evaluate our dog because she was on a "scratching fever", the vets didn't just push medicine and shots, they look at what was the best treatment and gave us their recommendations, which included looking at food, changing shampoo, etc. On the down-side, there is a lot of volume, and we got different doctors on various occasions.
Really torn on this vet office. The vets we have dealt with are truly exceptional, especially Dr.Cucaro. Very compassionate care of our dying dog; thorough exam and suggested meds that greatly improved my other dog's quality of life. But the office is total chaos! Parking difficult, cramped waiting room, and believe me you will be waiting quite a while for your appt.because they are always running late. Bills seem pretty high, but everything in Ca seems to cost so much more. Staff seem frantic and cranky with a few exceptio... read more
Sometimes this place can be a bit harried, with the staff putting you on hold, the lobby bustling with people, but I can't say enough good things about Dr. Glahn. I recently had to put down my 18 year old cat, and I scheduled an in-home visit, so as not to stress my boy out. The doctor called right before she came, and she was very gentle. She saw that I was a mess, and she was very calming and without saying it, I know she mentally conveyed that I was doing the right thing for my boy by letting his misery end. Dr. Glahn gav... read more
