We owe a couple rounds of whisky to the Founding Father of Gastown, Captain Jack Deighton. Also known as "Gassy Jack," he was a pilot turned saloonkeeper who loved to gas, & no, that doesn't mean what you might think it means. In Victorian times, the term meant to talk a lot & the Captain loved to do just that. We love going to the local every Wednesday for trivia night. Phil the host is great and really makes the night come alive. The staff are warm and friendly. The pub always seems to have a lively buzz about it. Would recommend for a good night out with friends.
Amazing spot on a sunny day because the patio is huge and always busy. I ordered a curry rice with prawns and the taste was good, but the rice could be better.

The Deluxe burger is AWESOME!!! Visiting from California, I found every aspect of the restaurant to be perfect!

We had a group of ten that was coming in at two different times and we got to sit all together thanks to the wonderful hosts, Sophia and fabiana!! They were both so incredibly kind and amazing! They made our night amazing!! Also, our server, Dana, was the BEST! One of our friends told her to surprise her for a drink and the drink was so good we all ended up ordering it! She was so funny and fun to be around. Overall, an amazing experience, my favorite in Vancouver BECAUSE OF THE STAFF!! CUDOS!!!!

Stopped by here for the first time. Had an amazing experience. Sat at the bartop and enjoyed the best drinks. Our bartender Patrick made the night even better. He made us the best drinks, was very attentive and such a fun bartender to watch at work. We will definitely be back!
