We owe a couple rounds of whisky to the Founding Father of Gastown, Captain Jack Deighton. Also known as "Gassy Jack," he was a pilot turned saloonkeeper who loved to gas, & no, that doesn't mean what you might think it means. In Victorian times, the term meant to talk a lot & the Captain loved to do just that. Had a chicken burger and fish and chips, with fries, both were good. Also had a beer-mosa which is beer with pineapple juice, also very good. Service was fast and friendly.

We had a wonderful delicious lunch. Shared the duck confit salad , so delicious . Service was really good This was our first visit here but it certainly won’t be our last 💜
