High scale Pub, warm welcome, friendly staff, nice ambience. Jaden and Jake at the bar were awesome, my favorite Gin base mix wasn't on the menu and so they had to make it for the first time . Jake is the man, he made the drink even better than other places that have it on their menu. I recommend this place both for drink and food.

We honestly went to this spot because the other places we were looking at (Rogue / Steamworks / Etc.) had lower reviews and Local had a huge outdoor patio with great people-watching. Well, that was why we went the first time. We returned later in our trip because the first experience was so enjoyable. Great restaurant! Restaurant is large enough to fit so many people in the patio for the nice summer nights, the Dj on Saturday nights plays great house music, it's such a vibe coming here. Food is great, I really like the crispy chicken sandwich

Meh. We came in by Cruise and were walking past this spot. We walked up and greeted promptly at the door by the hostess. We were were seated and greeted promptly by our server. They brought over water to drink and we looked at the menu. Man were they in a rush for us to order 2 different servers asked us to order within 5 minutes of sitting down. Food was good but don't expect any service after order if eating inside. We were only table that chose not to eat outside and we suffered for it. Never got drink refills. They passed out table by door all the time going outside and no attempt to see how we were doing unless we flagged them down. The manager was at the table next to us on laptop and didn't even seem concerned when we said we wish someone would come over multiple times. It was like we didn't even exist.
The food was good, not out of the world amazing but it was good for its price. We chose to sit inside and the ambiance was great, the surroundings were clean as well. However, the service was iffy. When I think about first impressions it wasn't very good, we were waiting in line for the hostess to sit us and an old couple came up to stand in front of us. Stopped for lunch at this Gastown spot. Great ambiance and comfortable outdoor seating w/heaters. Service was prompt and food was great. I had the curry chicken bowl and my wife went with fish and chips (option of 1 pc fish or 2). Great choices. Walked by later that evening and the place was rocking! Highly recommended!
This place need no recommendations. Centrally located with extra amazing staff all the time who are ready to take you in for a joyful fun time. Seating availability can be tricky on the weekends as it gets packed very quick. Wait is worth it though. Interior is great and have high energy vibes. Sunday lunch, took a brake from Christmas time shopping. It was a beautiful cold sunny day. We sat inside. But where the sun was shinning. You could sit outside.
