This team of colorist are professional, nice and welcoming! I had taken a break from seeing them and recently went back, and I am glad! The process of and non-ammonia based color is the best solution for people on the go who need a touch up that is noticeable and classy! I went into the Brea location thinking I had an appointment, which it turns out I messed up on my laptop & I actually didn't have an appt. Since it wasn't busy, the colorist graciously took me. Her name was "Max" and I was very happy with how friendly she was, and how gentle she was with my hair and applying the color. Since I was a first-time color bar customer, she gave me the 15% discount. My hair color is rich and seems to be lasting longer than the store-bought box I normally buy. Had a great experience here, it was so good I purchased the unlimited color membership. I love the concept, you can literally go in, get your hair colored and leave. Or you can stay and have them blow it dry (at an additional cost) or you can use their blow dry bar which is stocked with everything you need (clips, combs, brushes & products) to blow dry your own hair. This is perfect for women like me who go grey quickly! First of all, I love how through they are in covering roots. The product is fantastic, doesn't dry out your hair. The shop is clean and organized and the hairdressers are friendly and knowledgeable. I purchased the unlimited roots deal they have and couldn't be happier. No longer trying to stretch my time to get my roots done because of budget, now I can just go as needed.

I love this place, they only offer hair coloring services with Madison Reed products, which is exactly what I am looking for. They wash your hair after the coloring, but if you want them to blow dry your hair there is an extra charge, or they have a station where you dry your own hair. I've been using their at-home color products regularly for about 3 years now. As one of the 1st 100 customers to RSVP at this new Color Bar location, I received a free service (Root + Gloss + Blow Out = $150 value) and ended up buying a few products to take home, saving on the shipping fee. This salon is a false advertisement on hair coloring capabilities; apparently they can't highlight black hair bc they don't carry the level of bleach. I had to go back 3x's and the color still isn't right and parts of my hair is still brassy orange. Debbie/Deborah was the hair colorist and she did an awful job both times. Horrible experience. Had to tone my hair twice leaving it stringy and brittle. It took me 8 months to write this review...i lost a lot of hair...thankfully it's growing back. Never...never again.
