I have to say I was a little disappointed with my experience here. Before I get into it, let me say that the staff are friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice. However, if you are looking for professional hair coloring - this is not the place to go. I went into the salon asking for a neutral light brown (stylist used a 7N) and left with a coppery-auburn that I'm now left scrambling trying to tone at home to get the reds out. Everything nice and helpful until the highlights you asked for never showed up , instead I got an orang-ish color ...Terrible results, will never go back again . I thought going here would be the best option , I was wrong .

So I get a canned response from Madison Reed on how horrible the manager was at the Chino Hills store asking for my email address which I sent and Now crickets. If I didn't like the color so much I would be shopping for a different brand. The representation by the staff and management is horrible.

The low stars is for Daniel. He was rude and not personable from the beginning. Only chatting and helping his Latina clientele. This is my first time at Madison Reed. He did not introduce himself or care to ask what I was looking to accomplish there. I made an appointment for color, gloss and blow dry. Daniel asked me what color I'd like, got my sale, slapped some color on my FACE, EARS and my hair and I never saw him again. I sat there not knowing anything. I will never go back to MR. This will actually be my 3rd and final review. I just had my roots done and an expensive gloss product out my hair a week ago. My roots are already showing. I asked the stylist who did my hair-because my original stylist, Annette, is no longer there. Go figure. You'd think you'd be notified to make an informed decision if you want to go back. My daughter wrote a review about the horrible experience I had at this salon. As a member I had gone there over the past year and was prior to their opening at Brea. I went for my routine roots appointment. Asked to go lighter on my hair, showed pictures. I ended up with jet black hair with red rotted (hot roots ) later told. I am truly appalled by the unprofessionalism this place has its baffling to me. My mother has been a regular at this facility for almost a year now and asked to have her hair a lighter shade of brown. How they thought jet black is the perfect shade of light brown is beyond me. I will NEVER go back or recommend! I went in with darker shade of brown hair and left with black hair & stained hairline (more than normal). The colorist was VERY sloppy! I had asked for a color close to my natural color. Well I guess the lights in the building were not bright enough. I even left the wash and rinse with a wet sweatshirt. The manager was nice and didn't mean to wet me, but that was just the icing on the cake! DO NOT seek services here!!!
