I'm not sure why they ask you to sign a waiver not just for Covid but their coloring services!!!!!! Hence did not go, who does that?

Entered to win a free color bar experience. was contacted that I did win and to schedule online. scheduled an appointment over 2 weeks ago for a time slot this morning. drove 20 minutes, to arrive and be told sorry we cannot accommodate your spot today. even worse was the fact that this receptionist knew they couldn't take me at opening time of the salon and didn't bother to call. didn't apologize or have the slightest concern. this was their contest - just because it was a complimentary service it shouldn't be taken as who ... read more

Overall service was fine...but my balayage looks orange and unnaturally streaky. Definitley not the caramel color and natural sun kissed look I was going for. Definitely won't go back...

I had used the Madison Reed products at home a few times and decided to try the Color Bar so I could have a professional do it. Big mistake. I had the worst coloring experience I've ever had. I had a male colorist who put hair dye all over my skin. He did not use any barrier cream and did not wipe my skin after applying the dye. I had a 1/2 inch of dye on my skin from my ears, all along my forehead hairline, to my other ear, including on my ears and neck. The shampoo person tried to rub it off but couldn't. I drove an hour in DC traffic to show up for 10 minutes. I have a partial highlights and wanted all over blonde. They lady refused to do it and said it would turn brassy. I drove an hour, paid a babysitter and took off work for nothing. I told her I have family photos and she told me try a salon down the street. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

I waited to post this because I was honestly at a loss for words after I left the salon on Saturday afternoon. Firstly, I was picked to be apart of a Yelp Elite event and my service that I booked was covered for a root + gloss. I did end up paying extra for a "deep conditioner" - even thought I didn't receive the service I booked. Horrible business. Not customer friendly. I had a 2:00 appointment. Due to no parking close to shop. I had to walk seven blocks which caused me to be 10 mins late. They told me there was a problem with me being late & they could not see me today. Bullshit! The shop had two people working & 5 or 6 customers sitting with color on their hair.
