I stopped by for their Balayage service and had the best time! I showed them a picture of what I was going for and they did exactly that! Love how my hair came out and it was such a nice experience! felt super comfortable and the staff was great!

On 10/10/25, I made an appt at the Westport Hair Color Bar Service for 10:30 AM on 10/16. I have been a member since before 2018 & usually do my at home coloring. When I called for an appointment, my call was handled by your AI chat Madi. I asked a couple of times to be transferred to an actual salon member but Madi assured me each time although that was an option, it would be so much quicker if I had her handle it. Everyone was super nice and the salon was clean and looked great. products smell amazing. Unfortunately my color looks NOTHING like the color I was shown and we agreed on. I wanted dark, neutral blonde and got a dark auburn color. No one checked the color while I was processing. When I mentioned that I did not like the brassiness I was not offered a solution...I was just told that the color will wash out over time and they would put a note in my file about it, I'm not sure I will go back. I love the unlimited service, but this location needs to be fixed. I've been to the Scarsdale location and needed to realize what the experience should be like. I've been to Westport more than once, and they "ran out" of the cotton blockers both times, which stained my forehead. The girls are sloppy, and the service is rushed. They also have a drawer of unsanitized brushes that other people have used for you to use. Meh. Salon is cute and great concept. But most women that work there are very young and have attitude. Not friendly and sloppy application of color. Shampoo girls were swearing and complaining. I could tell the shampoo girl wasn't rinsing my hair thoroughly. I had dye on my towel at home for three days after. I thought 40 bucks for a blow dry seemed excessive....but if you opt for wash and go, they don't even comb your hair out. Just leave you with a tangled mess and towel on top of your head. This place is not a full service coloring salon. They would not do lowlights in my hair because it had previously bee colored! Huh???

I'm seeing a lot of reviews about a specific person who works there being very rude. I know exactly who it is and have had the same experience to such a degree I cancelled my membership. It's a shame too because the color bars in Somerville and Burlington MA as well as other locations I went into while traveling had such lovely people working there. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could! Booked 3 hours of my day, once I sat down (with my coat in hand because no one offered to take it or show me where to hang it up), I was told that they wouldn't be able to do my color because they couldn't match it.
