The building that houses Mangiamo hold a lot of sentimental value for us. We went to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, this time, the food was a bit dry and overlooked. We had a great server, and enjoyed being there, however.
We were seated on the porch where the ambiance lacks in comparison to indoors. The food was great! The server was very friendly but slow and lacked product knowledge. It's possible he was new. This is my third visit and I would return!
Wonderful dining experience. The music in the lounge was very good with an after dinner cocktail.
It was our second time at Mangiamo. Once again, we loved it! Everything was spectacular and we would highly recommend it! Just wish we lived closer! We drive in from the lakeshore and it is so worth it! Can't wait to take more friends there in the future! Absolutely love the Superfruit Cosmo, the double napkin garlic bread and the filet of beef is absolutely amazing! Thanks again for such a great night!
Food was great and the service wonderful! We had a few people in the group with food sensitivities and the server handled everything very well.
My sister and I were entertaining our cousins from Minnesota and we wanted to take them to a great place in Grand Rapids. We were bragging about all the great places to eat in Grand Rapids. Our server seemed very disinterested in us. Our food were very average and a bit disappointing. I requested a quiet place so we could catch up and they put us in a quiet area by the fireplace which we were happy with. I would not go back.
This is a very romantic place to enjoy an evening out. The attire is casual but you will see patrons in all types of attire from jeans to semi formal. It is child friendly however, it's a great place for mom & dad to have a night out.
As always, great food and great service. It was pretty busy being the Friday after Valentine's day, but service was still prompt and the food came out timely and hot. Mangiamo is one of my favorite places to eat anywhere because of the great setting in an historic mansion in a cool neighborhood of Grand Rapids, and it's superb food. There was even a good pianist/singer in the bar area.
Each time my wife and I go to Mangiamo's it has been a great dining experience. We enjoy how it feels small but isn't, I guess the best way to describe our time as cozy. Food is excellent, desserts outstanding, you cannot go wrong by going to Mangiamo's.
