This was my first visit to Mangiamo, and I regret that it took so long to visit. Our table was next to a large window overlooking the grounds. The character of this old house turned restaurant is amazing. The food portions were generous and delicious. Our server suggested a wine that matched our meal perfectly. And creme brulee for dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening.
4 people; waitress forgot 1 beverage. Swordfish was only partially cooked; waitress stated "it's served that way".
Mangiamo offers great Italian fare at a fair price. The portions are generous and the staff is very helpful.

The menu itself is cheap. It doesn't fit the ambiance of the restaurant. It's just a folder, tri-fold paper menu. Makes me feel like I'm at a Mr. Burger or something. Anyway, the food that you can order from the standard menu is usually good but I highly recommend that you order from the *specials* menu. This menu is only available on weekends. it was great for our birthday dinners!
Our meals were not as good as we had expected them to be. Everything else was great. Our server seemed to gauge us well and know that we weren't in any hurry but was available if we needed anything. At first we thought the background music in the restaurant was a little annoying and then realized it was doing a good job covering up almost absorbing conversations around us. of course Mangiamo's is a beautiful old home so being around that gorgeous architecture was very pleasant.
The food was great, our server was not the best but the other servers looked like they did well.
