I was on the sellers side. The conditions were very last minute. It was not until signing day that we were notified of a holdover of 150%. The seller was very unhappy about that because that's more money being withheld from her and an additional wire fee. The CD and funds were sent to escrow before Final Loan Approval. I have NEVER experienced that with any other lender. There were unsatisfied conditions that we were all not aware of until after the buyers had already signed their closing documents. Better communication even given the circumstances of our loan, we’d hoped with this being our first purchase it would’ve gone smoother. Even though no one could’ve predicted what we went through having a person be more empathetic, caring as well as understanding to this situation. Though he was not our original loan officer and had to work the hand dealt, we also had a difficult hand. It felt as though he was evading us at all costs
