Was dealing with Pete Reynolds and was looking to ship two cars with Mercury. I read the automated emails telling me how different it is using Pete/Mercury rather than most other transport brokers. I was assured on the phone that he would keep me up to date and check/vet all the data before assigning the driver etc. The car was being collected and the day before I was informed that the company collecting had mechanical issues and they changed to a different company. A very poor experience. I was quoted a fixed, no hidden charges fee and it was later charged in excess of $100 additional. Spent a day and a half rescheduling my work days because pick up was a constantly moving target. I gave the driver a printed map and the address, car was still delivered to the wrong house, had to get a neighbor to help. Door damaged; and with that, an immediate demand for payment I Do not recommend under any circumstances.

At Mercury, all of our quotes are estimated shipping prices based on the demand of any particular route at that time. We DO NOT guarantee it until we get it posted on the board and have a carrier make an offer on it. We, the brokers, are not the ones who set the final prices. It is the drivers/carrier companies that do. They are able to view all of the vehicles traveling on certain routes and pick the ones offering up the best prices. I was told the price would be $485to transport my truck, the email said everything was included, then when we were ready to book, it was now $500 cash and another $275 broker fee and was told it could be more once the truck got to our location. They're just as crooked as the competition they say to watch out for.

We thought that this company was above board by all its information sharing. Here's how it came out. I'm doing this for a friend who is scared of this. Did some research and recommended Mercury to her. When she called Mercury, she was pressured, she thought, into spending more money than the quote given. She hung up on Michael. Now I call Mercury a few days later and wanted to complain. Got transferred to Michael's voice mail. Left a detailed message including the quote and reservation number. HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE...Been 2 weeks and they still dont have a driver to pick ups my car.Spencer woiuld text me with we are still trying to get a driver, and we cant guarantee the price. Wasted 2 weeks and got nowhere with them. STAY AWAY!

I was hired for a load of 35ft and when I arrived to the shipper the load happened to be 40ft. For my safety and the safety of others and for respecting the laws of the road, I did not take it. Was way over legal length and length that was posted of load board. As I got home the broker (Scott) called me and started insulting me over the phone. This has been a horrible experience. Drew Rightnour is very unresponsive. He set me up with Made to Haul LLC as my transporter. This company missed their pick up window and when I call them they place you on hold and never return. A guy who said he was the owner spoke to me and guaranteed the driver would be arriving within the hour, that never happened. Now no one will answer at the contact number I was given. I’ve reached out to Drew SEVERAL times and he NEVER answers. Very sketchy and shady way of doing business.
