RecommendedShopping with a parent for their independent living facility is not nearly as much fun as shopping for a new dress, but when my mother makes a decision, she moves quickly! We visited many dismal places and I could see her actually becoming claustrophobic at the thought of transitioning from a beautiful four bedroom home with a magnificent view, to apartments not nearly as nice as my college dorm room. RecommendedWe moved my father in to the Meridian a little over a year ago, and we have been very happy with our choice for him. His apartment is perfect for him, the food is good, and he is provided with a good array of activities, including monthly holiday parties, luaus, etc. The staff takes great care of him too! RecommendedDad was blessed to call The Meridian home for his final years. He developed many loving relationships with the staff (Theresa Robert and Launa Cornell!) along with fellow residents. We never once questioned the care or friendly environment provided at The Meridian. We will be forever grateful!
RecommendedThe facility is very nice. The staff are caring and kind. My Dad was in assisted living for a year and then memory care "Transitions" for another year through August 2018. We had some challenges, but specifically with Theresa, known as "T" joined the staff, we noticed a positive difference. She took ownership, changed a few processes and any challenges were addressed. My husband and I moved into a brand new third floor apartment with a lake/mountain view in December 2013 and enjoyed our life here with prepared meals, housekeeping, activities, maintenance, etc. all included. It's easy to find faults in most everything in life, but we found, that in the big picture, we had little to complain about because our lives were greatly simplified surrounded by good people, residents and staff alike.
