Great MFC Laser replacement with AirPrint and Google Cloud Print This is a terrific printer, replacing an older Brother Laser MFC with very expensive consumables. It is doing a great job supporting networked PCs, iPhone/iPad and Chromebook printing. A little tricky to set-up, though. Ultimately, got everything to work by installing full Brother software suite BUT letting Windows 10 manage the printer. I like everything so far I just installed my new printer. I like everything so far, except no USB cable came with the printer. I don't believe that was in the description or I would have purchased a cable when I bought the machine. Also, you will need to buy an extra long USB cable because of the where and how the cable is connected, under the print/scan table. You will open the printer and all the cables (USB, phone, etc.) are attached under the glass and a channel leads the cable out the back....very different than what I ... read more
i needed something that would work great for a home office i needed something that would work great for a home office. so far i have used it as a fax and printer n it works great. really easy to set up on both my mac and hp laptops. i will say it was a little difficult to install the fax line but maybe i wasnt applying enough force to open the lid. very satisfied with the product so far

Update to February, 2017 review - with apologies to Brother I wrote a scathing review when I first purchased this printer almost three years ago. There was a deep learning curve which I didn't have time to deal with. Flash forward to now and I have to admit this is the best, most versatile, printer I've ever owned. I have had zero problems with it (except a few due to 'user error'), the quality is always excellent, it's never jammed, it's fast, and it's quiet. Fast, Quiet, Produces Good Quality Output and It Works with Linux Too! I have worked with a good number of inkjet printers from several different manufacturers. Some inkjets are worth your money, and some aren't worth the box they are packaged in.
