Don't do it Worst printer I've ever owned which really surprised me because I've always had good Brother products. I got this particular printer for specific 11x17 printing. I barely got in 100 pages before the printed just STOPPED printing in any color. Tried 'cleaning' so many times....nothing. Tech support sucks but at least I was able to return this thing, and get refund. When I do get my money back I will NOT be going with Brother. Don't Buy This Printer! It stops using or recognizing the cartridges before they are finished. Quality isn't that great. This started within its first year. Warranty is almost up. It won't print. Returning.
Deceptive description The MFC-J5330DW is described as having a 30-page automated document feeder, and processes two-sided copies. BEWARE: the MFC-J5330DW will not make double-sided copies from the automatic document feeder. The online user manual indicates that double-sided copies from the automatic document feeder requires the J5830DW or J5930DW. junk I paid almost $400 for this junk. The ribbon started to cause streaks after 18 month. After three years, it has so many problems: jamming papers, unusable color picture print quality, streaks on black and white prints... I expected it to last 5-10 years for a $400 printer. Shame on American companies who put their names behind this kind of junk. Shame on overseas manufacturers who keep substandard quality control to produce a product that starts to mal-function within 2 years. What a waste of resource...
Piece of junk This printer is a piece of junk. We purchased it and were not able to set it up for a couple of months. I never made it past the "install ink cartridges" part of the set up. It kept rejecting the magenta ink cartridge. I called Brother and requested a new set of "starter ink cartridges". They insisted on following other protocol first. One attempt by phone for help....another attempt by chat. Neither one was productive. We ended our chat with a "call back" that would take place within a timeframe. That timefram... read more
