Brother MFC-J985DW - Good Purchase Purchased this printer to replace the Epson model that I had. Quick and easy to set up. Print, copy and scan functions have all worked well. I like the ADF feature quite a bit. I printed from my iPad using AirPrint without any issues. All in all I am very happy with the purchase.
Excellent Value, Decent Quality I must say that if you are looking for value, you can't beat this one. With all the ink included plus the effecient use of that ink, you will pay for the cost of this printer / ink package with that alone. Therefore this is an unbeatable value. Brothers printer Easy setup good features
Tremendous ink conservation This product has saved us hundreds of dollars for ink. Page per ink cartridge is incredible, both color and BW. Some reduction of quality on color prints, but as long as not producing professional portraits, the prints are fine for normal use. Highly recommend this unit
Great value! This is our first Brother printer. We've spent lots of money on various HP and Epson printers over the years and have experienced frustration with running costs, functionality, and durability. This printer is a great bargain. The cost per print is far lower than its competitors and after 2 months of steady use has worked flawlessly.
Value Oriented Workhorse A main virtue is Brother has done a great job of making this unit very easy to setup, even someone with the most basic of tech skills can do it. It does an adequate job of printing photos, but is more suited for standard office type activity rather than high level photo printing. Printing from all our devices was easy as well. It also very efficient with ink use. Its a decent all around workhorse and represents a good value that prints well enough for most office uses.
Lots of features; saved money on printing handouts I needed to be able to economically print large quantities of text and graphic handouts for school and business. I chose this printer because it was much less expensive than a color laser printer. This is the first Brother product I've owned and I have not been disappointed. Affordable and Durable Printer I’ve purchased around 6-7 of these through the company I work for, and we have not had a problem out of a single one. Which can’t be said for our other HP and Epson printers. The print quality on this machine is not mind blowing, the colors can be a bit faded however with the INKVestiment technology the amount of black pages printed is pretty impressive for an inkjet printer not to mention the low cost of ink. Sooo easy to set up! Works great. I’m going to be honest, I’m not a huge techie. I can’t tell you all those specific things about this printer. What I can tell you is that it was SO SIMPLE!! The set up was the easiest I’ve ever had on any printer I’ve ever set up. It walks you through it step by step. It shows pictures. It really does all the work for you. I have had ZERO issues with it.
