Four Stars great printer
Just OK Unfortunately, this printer is not as good as our last one (Canon) in terms of print quality. It also sounds like it struggles to get the paper fed through. We will use for a year or so, but I need a "solid" printer for home use.
Four Stars good connectivity
I like it, but it needed a little tinkering to get best color results. Generally this printer does everything it should. It connected immediately with my computer and so far all functions have been flawless, including double-sided printing and OCR. For once ink consumption has been acceptable, and the ink level indicators have barely changed over three months' use. Five Stars Prints great.
Good After 1-Year I have had this about a year and it is still performing well. It does not get a lot of use since I don't print that often, but the quality and clarity are still sharp. As others have said, it is a bit slow to start printing. I also scan a lot of documents because I'm working to keep records electronically. So far, at this price I would recommend it.
Higher initial cost for future ink savings Replaced a 2008 HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One printer that finally stopped working, after 10 years of trouble-free printing, with this Brother printer and it works well and quieter than the HP. Five Stars Hassle free setup and excellent print quality.
Outstanding printer, highly recommended! I've always had Canon printers before so only have those to compare this Brother to. That being said, I LOVE this Brother printer!!! The scanner works perfectly, it prints great, and I'm tickled that I can print a long document front and back without having to take the paper out and turn it around! I just tell it to print both sides and it does! :) The ink that came with it lasts a long time too. I bought extra ink but haven't needed to use it yet.
