    Do not buy I purchased this machine in December 2018 to replace the 8810 that I had happily owned and worked with for years. Within days of setup the machine was spewing ink onto pages and the inside of the drum. Several calls to Brother produced their decision to send me a new toner cartridge. I tried convincing them the drum unit was contaminated and the new toner cartridge would not fix the problem of random ink spots and smudges on the prints.     Jumping though hoops to install on Windows Server We have 35+ Brother printers in our firm and they've been excellent performers, so when we needed a copier/printer/scanner, we bought an MFC L5800, to install on our print server running Windows Server 2008-R2. However, the Brother setup program was completely unable to find the new printer, even when we manually entered its network address.     Toner Thingy went bad So I love this printer except for the fact after 90 days the toner and drum started printing wonky blotchy grey stuff all over the document. UUUUGGGG.. I do Loan Signings and I want clean paper for my clients to sign.. how much am I going to have to spend to get new toner and drum? Almost as much as the darn printer.

    Print quality horrible!!! Replaced drum and toner and both printers I purchased are basically junk for printing!!!

    Buy Something Else This MF printer has caused me nothing but problems over the last year plus. After about 6 months it continually left toner marks on all print jobs, and though I tried everything to stop it, but it never did. Today was the last straw. Firmware update stuck at 90% and now the printer is unusable. It is now just a $300 door stop. No help online for this problem

    Dissatisfy with Printer I bought this printer less than a year ago, the printer stop taking papel on the top feeder. The printer also presented a lot issues with paper jamming.

    occasional prints look elsewhere I bought this because I print rarely and got tired of buying ink to print 2 pages. A dry toner approach seemed to be the way to go. I didn't pay attention at first but overtime I started noticing artifacts as the photo shows. This picture is the best quality after: 1) removing toner and cleaning drum TWICE with scotch brite microfiber cloth 2) seems you have to print a few pages (instead of 1 copy plan to print everything 3-5 times) before you get a usable copy.     USELESS PRINTER JUST RECEIVED MY PRINTER A FEW DAYS BACK AND WAS SETTING IT UP HERE AT MY WORKPLACE ONLY TO GET A "PRINT UNABLE 0B" ERROR AND HAVING THE MACHINE SHUT OFF. PAID $300 TO GET A DEFECTIVE PRINTER AND NOW HAVE TO GO THROUGH A WARRANTY PROCESS THAT TAKES ABOUT A WEEK. MEANS NO PRINTING FOR MY DEPARTMENT FOR A WEEK. THANK YOU BROTHER.
