Brother was once a great option for printers. I installed this the day it came in and it just didn't work. I returned it the very same day. I've had good luck with Brother Printers in the past but lately they have not done well.
If you are planning on using paper over 32 lbs ... If you are planning on using paper over 32 lbs. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.... So frustrating calling customer service and all they could say once I explained I was using thicker paper( not by much) and it was not feeding into the printer they would not cover a replacement. No duplex??? What the ----? Missing duplex. Huge disappointment for a business printer.
Can't get Brother to replace unit that never worked didn't work out of the box. Brother was suppose to replace the unit but hasn't.
The printer looks like a great deal for the price but it is ... The printer looks like a great deal for the price but it is not. The speed of printing is good, and the scanning is great but the wireless link between the computer and printer is abysmal. The printing queue will always say "Looking for Printer" and 95% of the time it will not find the printer. If you haven't printed between prints in about 45min to an hr, it will not recognize your wireless connection and I have to always restart my computer and/or the printer.... read more
Jams and rips paper Printer jams when scanning, ripped up all my important papers and stopped working. Very difficult to change settings. Can't even return it because it's past the date. Would not recommend
Not a good doublex system. Machine works great- only reason why I didn't give it full stars is b/c it does not have a dublex copier. If you want to print dublex you need to insert the page manually and then turn it over manually.
One Star Had error after error and in the end returned and bought newer version for less from Staples.
Worst printer EVER if you need dual trays! horrible printer....Can't get it to print using tray 2 loaded which is loaded with legal paper. Support is awful. Been on the phone with them multiple times for 2-3 hours each time. They blame it on everything from my legal paper being the "wrong size" to saying that I need to print all my letter size pages first then change it to the legal size pages because I am confusing the printer by having it choose according to PDF size. WHAT??? I am so done with it!!!
