Retina Consultants of San Diego is fantastic - great professional staff, well organized, and provided clear communication at every step. Dr. Ammar was simply wonderful. He was genuine, warm and kind, caring and patient in explaining my situation and what he would be able to do to help me, how the procedure would work, and what outcomes I could expect. I am so grateful to have been referred to him for my care.
I was referred by my Opthamologst for a retinal bleed. The front office staff were friendly,professional and competent. The appointment time was on time and all staff who did the tests were careful and kind. Dr Ammar was excellent in his manner, the way he explained the issue and his diagnosis and steps to take next. I highly recommend this office.
Dr. Michael Ammar was recommended by my Ophthalmologist, Dr. Prestera to perform a tricky ocular lens replacement. He struck me as a warm, highly intelligent, and compassionate professional. I had a stroke inside my eye and was completely blind. I was referred to Dr. Ammar and he explained everything to me and was able to fix my vision with injections. He makes them easy and painfree. He is brilliant.

He is such a nice man and a great surgeon. takes the time to talk and explain everything to me. I really trust him. Very calming and has steady hands! Makes my injections so easy.
