A doctor who takes frightening news about your eyes and makes the treatment so easy to bear. Shots into your eye I remembers as a kid saying about having to do something I thought was scary “I would rather have a needle poked in my eye “. As an adult, rather anything else. Dr Ammar was very informative and patient. He explained everything and took all the time I needed to answer all my questions. All the staff was very friendly and helpful
July 2023, I woke up and couldn't see out of right eye. My Opthamologist sent me to Dr. Ammar, said he was the best in the business. Without an appointment, being very scared of the outcome, I was able to see Dr. Ammar that very day. My appointment with Dr. Ammar was the result of Dr. Jain finding that wet macular degeneration was impacting my right eye. Have been in treatment with him for the left one for many years. Dr. Jain recommended starting treatment as soon as possible. Dr. Ammar was available 2 days later and I was able to get an appointment with him. Congratulations to Retina Consultants San Diego on finding another caring and professional doctor. Couldn't ask for better staff or doctor. The staff is sooooo friendly and courteous, and seems highly competent. The doctor is personable with a great "bedside manner." He's thorough. And the explanations he gives are concise and understandable. What more could you ask for?
Dr Ammar is a highly professional, skilled and talented doctor. He was precise with my diagnosis and rectified the problem immediately in the office. He saved me from a hospital visit more severe complications. I’m forever grateful!!!
