My appointment with Dr. Ammar was the result of Dr. Jain finding that wet macular degeneration was impacting my right eye. Have been in treatment with him for the left one for many years. Dr. Jain recommended starting treatment as soon as possible. Dr. Ammar was available 2 days later and I was able to get an appointment with him. Congratulations to Retina Consultants San Diego on finding another caring and professional doctor. Couldn't ask for better staff or doctor. The staff is sooooo friendly and courteous, and seems highly competent. The doctor is personable with a great "bedside manner." He's thorough. And the explanations he gives are concise and understandable. What more could you ask for?
Dr Ammar is a highly professional, skilled and talented doctor. He was precise with my diagnosis and rectified the problem immediately in the office. He saved me from a hospital visit more severe complications. I’m forever grateful!!!

I had a terrible infection in my eye and Dr. Ammar immediately took me to surgery and saved my eye! I went back for follow up several times including yesterday. the staff is always efficient and he is on time and very professional.
