I brought my dog, Oreo, here for an annual check up, vaccines, and to check for an ear infection. We got there for our appointment and we were seen in 3-4 minutes. The veterinarian, Dr. Laura, and her assistant were super friendly and explained everything to me. I appreciated that. They gave Oreo thorough tests and examine with a caring demeanor that my dog appreciated. He was a little nervous but they treated him with great love and care. I have been taking my pets here for years. The vets, especially Dr. Polishuk, are phenomenal. The vet techs are caring and concerned. I do believe that their prices are in the upper end, so it's not a bargain but our pets are worth it, right? The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the front desk staff is impersonal and can be downright rude. I had an appt last week, walked in, checked in, then sat down. As a child, my family took all of our pets to Midland when it was just a little house across the street from its current location, and I continued doing that when I moved out and got pets on my own. Love Dr. Carrier and the crew! They are all very caring professionals. I have friends that travel from North Park, Oceanside and 4s Ranch to have their furry family members cared for at Midland. I am so fortunate that they are right in my neighborhood! Medical maintenance and treatment for pets can be costly, but it's been my experience that Midlands fees are reasonable and.....they don't do any high pressure "up selling". Dr. Switzer made a late night house call on a holiday weekend to help me and my cat. She had managed to get her head stuck in a small hole and was unable to get out. Dr. Switzer arrived very quickly and was extremely professional. He helped get her head out and somehow managed to not get any scratches!!? I am so fortunate to have such a great resource close by. Thank you Dr. Switzer and all of other excellent staff at Midland Animal Clinic. I will be recommending you to all of my friends!
My husband recently took one of our pets in without an appointment. They were able to see her quickly and diagnosed the situation within 20-30 minutes. He walked out with the prescribed medication and our loved one is doing much better. The doctor followed up to check on our pet's progress the following day. They were kind, caring and professional. I would recommend Midland Animal Clinic to anyone.
I recently moved to Poway and was in search of a new vet for my elderly Corgi and my new puppy, an Australian Cattle Dog named Timber. I had heard positive things about Midland Animal Clinic and scheduled appointments for both dogs to be seen. Went here on a recommendation from a good friend for our fur baby. They took very good care of us and got us in right away, same day. Our blue pit bull, Roxy, has developed a bad hot spot under her chin. We've own plenty of animals in our lives, but never have had to deal with an issue like this.
