Mintahoe's staff is great, however their food is almost inedible. Have had it at several events, including one where the buffet ran out of food half way through the event. Vegetables will served without seasoning and undercooked; sea bass was gummy and had an intensely sweet "BBQ" sauce that tasted like a bad diet soda. I have been to so many weddings with bad food; shell out the extra cash for REAL FOOD.

Do NOT book any wedding venue that uses Mintahoe. I had a horrible experience with them and do not recommend them to anyone!!! They don't even deserve one star. Since my venue used Mintahoe catering I had no choice but to use them. The day I signed my contract with Mintahoe I was told the person who I was originally working with was no longer going to be my sales consultant and that I would have a new consultant. I did not have a good experience with Mintahoe and would not recommend them to anyone. I had my reception at The Garden Room of Eden Prairie which is a very beautiful venue but it requires you to use Mintahoe as the catering company which at the time seemed wonderful because I thought I could mark off the catering vendor that I still needed to find. First off, Jessica was so prompt with all of her emails and really made sure to make everything perfect for us- she was amazing and really fun to work with! She jumped in midway of our planning, but made the extra effort to make us feel comfortable. Second- the food was AMAZING! I had so many compliments from our guests on how much they loved our selection! We had a boat wedding and we were forced by our venue to go through Mintahoe. We thought the food at the tasting was much better than the food at our wedding buffet, but we don't know how much of that is due to the challenges presented by catering a wedding on a boat. The food was definitely not the best feature of our wedding, but at least it was pretty inexpensive.

I would not recommend using Mintahoe as your liquor provider. They limit how many kegs you can host depending on the # of people which we had 180 guests and were only allowed 2 kegs which ran out early in the evening. They also close their bar down during dinner as they only serve alcohol for a total of 5 hours. So if your dinner reception is from 5-12 they would have to close the bar for two hours. This vendor as a bar/liquor service was fine the day of but everything leading up to it with our coordinator just spoiled the entire experience. Our original coordinator (who was adequate) ended up leaving and we got placed with a person who was just awful at keeping up with emails, answered questions extremely vaguely requiring multiple repeats of inquiries, and quite frankly cost us more anguish and stress than was entirely worth. Not recommended!

This company was so terrible to work with. We had to use them for our beverage service. We paid for premium services and the choices that they offered for wine and beer were terrible. Further, they wanted to set up a cash bar on top of the $60 per person that they were charging us for an open bar. We had a difficult time getting a hold of the person working with us, which can be really stressful days before the wedding.
