We used the Chateau on Medicine Lake for our wedding reception and worked with Julie at Mintahoe for the catering. It was a most enjoyable experience! Julie was incredibly flexible and willing to work with us/brainstorm ideas for our reception luncheon. She was helpful and encouraging and really made us feel comfortable in our choice to go with Mintahoe. Overall I was not impressed with Mintahoe. We were told that the tasting was to " get a feel for Mintahoe's service not to taste everything on the menu". Well, the staff was rude and condiscending and the food was cold. Purposals were continuously wrong even after explaining how they needed to be changed, prices changed from purposal to purposal, numbers weren't calculated correctly, delivery fees were added even though our venue had a kitchen onsite, we asked 3 times for a lunch menu and never recieved one...the list of has... read more

Mintahoe caters and hosts the MN Boat Club, which is where we had our wedding. The location is beautiful and with little to no decor needed the site can host a beautiful event. During the planning process the staff is very helpful, organized, and polite. I enjoyed working with Joy greatly. The day of the event, the on-site staff was so pleasant and strived to make sure our event went as smooth as possible. The food is amazing. We used this caterer because our venue required them - the Van Dusen Mansion. We were very pleased with the food quality - several people commented that it was the best wedding food they've had - I'd say they are comparable to a restaurant whereas I usually think of old country buffet when I go to weddings! We had plated meals - beef tenderloin, dijon chicken & lemon pepper asparagus pasta. All were high quality, good flavor and hot when they were served. Great service, was able to meet our needs and went beyond what we wanted. Is pretty expensive and they up charge a lot of little things. But overall, they were wonderful.

Mintahoe Catering and Events worked with the Van Dusen Mansion to cater our wedding on 4/13. There was some mix ups with minor things, but overall nobody could tell because we were so well taken care of! All of our guests told us that the food was delicious, and much better than any other catered wedding they had been to. We worked with Elizabeth and her fun and bubbly personality was exactly what we wanted! Thanks Mintahoe Catering!

Great food, great customer service. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is our cake was cut before dinner was served and it dried out by the time it was served.
