My biggest complaint was the extremely slow service. It took us about 45 mins to get our appetizer and the entire meal took about 2.5 hours. Sadly the food was not consistently good. The salmon dish was amazing yet the Moroccan chicken was extremely bland without spices. Harissa? Seems like they didn’t even bother to use it. Will not return. Why bother doing restaurant week if you do such a terrible job? Isn’t restaurant week supposed to bring in business not lose it?

they double charged me on my bill and two days later yet to fix it the menu is very limited

There was a wedding utilizing the front lawn and then the main dining room. We were shoved into the back of a bar area (if I had known, I wouldn't have made a reservation there) Once seated, we had to ask for some bread (after a LONG while). we did not get dinner for about an hour The caesar salad was the worst we have ever had. The gnocchi was gummy. The Bream of Mushroom soup, however. was divine, nut should have had a crunchy/brispy garnish instead of steamed artichoke. The room was small and very noisy and the special menu for "Oktoberfest" featured very heavy and uninteresting items.

Really disappointed in the main course. Ordered the seafood fricassee and it was to come with lobster, scallop, shrimp, clams, mussels and monk fish. It was $32. When it was delivered by the runner there was no shrimp lobster or scallops. They were substituted with salmon, without asking. I personally do not like salmon. We have been regulars at the Tavern since it opened and regret that the service has gone so far downhill that we will not be returning. Our server was young and friendly, but with a bit of attitude. Drink order came and was filled promptly, at which point we were told that bread and butter would be coming right out. Fifteen minutes later, the bread arrived at the same time as our salad course. I wanted to be seated in the dinning room but, they would not accommadate us even though the room was empty. We were seated next to a large party that made enough noise to wake the dead. My wife finally went to ask if we could move but, by that time the first course arrived with our wine so we stayed put. The food was good but, not exceptional . The service was okay. We are not going back and, we will tell others of our experience

We came for Fathers Day on the Saturday before. So did many other people so it was crowded. In addition, there was a wedding. Consequently, there should have been more staff present than normal and it didn’t seem as if there was. It took us 3 hours to complete our meal and it wasn’t because we ate slowly. It was because we had to wait at least 45 minutes between courses. We chose the Tavern because we had a toddler with us and the waiting ruined the experience for everyone.
