Awesome gym! I had mountainside fitness until I moved out here then had to go to LA. I was so happy this was built and immediately switched back to mountainside fitness and this location is awesome. It is small but it has everything and it has an amazing look and it is basically the same price as LA Fitness. It is so much better and not even comparable. If you like an empty gym just avoid peak hours but even at peak hours it is still easy to get your workout in. I have never seen it overly packed. I love this gym

After several calls explaining the same story over and over again, I was finally able to speak with the regional manager, the situation clicked for mountainside, they canceled the training sessions and provided a refund. Come to find out the individual that caused this issue was later fired and had similar complaints. Glad the issue was finally resolved.

I checked out this location last night after downloading the 5 day pass, and let me tell you, it is BEAUTIFUL! The front desk staff was friendly and the gentleman I talked to (I believe his name was Michael) was very helpful. He showed my sister and I around the facility and we were so impressed by the cleanliness and amount of machines they had to offer. Clean, nice views, however small and gets busy, caters more to the college crowd. This is my 1st month here so we will see how it gets. They listed tanning which they don't have at this location. Almost like they are trying to be lifetime. Which with the cost they charge might think about joining back there. We will see how the meat market settles

Aggressive sales tactics. They took advantage of my little brother who is at ASU but is on a spectrum. They got him to spend extra money on some lessons, and now me and my family are trying to help him stop what we consider fraudulent charge. Salespeople who take advantage of the vulnerable people in the community for extra commission are the worst.

I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience at this location was uncomfortable enough that I felt it needed to be shared. My sister and I were walking around Tempe Beach Park when we noticed this Mountainside Fitness location and decided to stop in for a quick workout. It was our first time at this specific location, and I wanted to show her around since I'm already a member. There are a lot of great things about this gym: convenient hours, lots of equipment, free parking, and of course a great view! Things are fairly well maintained from what I can tell, although I do feel like the cleanliness could be improved a bit. Also, the disinfectant wipes are often empty and they run out of towels so I wish they paid better attention to that.

Whether you are a beginner or a gym rat, mountainside has quality equipment and a fantastic atmosphere!!
