I just started going to this gym recently and I love it. Right now half of the cardio machines are off to create space for the COVID-19, but they always have wipes to clean down equipment. It's small in a way, but it offers a lot for the view and location. Overall, very satisfied that I joined. Heads up: if you do any Olympic lifting, they have a dedicated spot for jus that.

Shows absolutely no concern for their workers or customers during the pandemic. Instituting basically no health safety regulations. It's just status quo. Their bottom line is more important than the health of their staff and customers. Even with a sever health problem they insisted that coming to their office was the only way to cancel today. When I got there they tried to shake me down for a couple hundred dollars. If you can't keep your obligation of providing a safe environment, why should I have to keep my obligation of ... read more

Pretty bad. Looks nice when you take the tour but once I joined I started noticing all the details. They never have any disinfectant wipes despite having multiple (empty) dispensers. So, machines are quite dirty and dripping with other people's sweat. If you look at the windows they are also filthy, with stuff (I'm assuming sweat) splattered, dripping, and dried on the inside (outside is dirty too but I don't really care about that). Is always quite hot inside the gym and i think they use fragrance to cover up the smell in t... read more

I've been to a lot of different fitness centers. While on vacation in the Phoenix area I decided to try out a few gyms. I was able to obtain a 7 day pass to mountainside fitness. The plan was to try a few different ones. However, I never left the scenic Scottsdale location. If the views aren't enough, the equipment is top notch. The staff is friendly and the gym itself was spotless. This is definitely one of the top gyms. The view from the treadmill never got old. If you're into fitness, and you'd rather see scenery that doe... read more

Rude staff. Limited equipment. Wanna-be BigBox Fitness corporate mindset. Joined month to month. Stopped coming in. Don't owe you any money and never used you on months after I stopped paying my month to month. Spoke to them on the phone to cancel. Incessant phone call harassment saying they will send me to collections even after knowing I have not come in at all and was month to month. Now they want me to come in and sign a paper cancellation (on carbon paper I assume so they have copies??... its 2020 guys, get with it and ... read more

Sad to not be writing a better review. Few things to note going into this review. I've been coming for years and as a whole it's an okay gym. Not the best Mountainside location as it's small and constantly pretty full. Equipment is always broken or being used and if you come at popular times be prepared to have to switch up your workout wait for what you want. The staff is also great never had any issues and helped me with all my billing questions. Mind you none of these reasons are reasons for lower review. I write this rev... read more

The gym had very nice equipment plus a great view! Colin working front desk was also very kind and helpful.

The environment here doesn't encourage being mindful of time on equipment and/or communal collaboration. The few times I've mentioned it to the staff, I've been told that whoever is literally "touching" the equipment has ownership over it, so "find something else to work with..." Definitely tired of waiting for people to get off the machines while they're checking Snapchat between sets. Cancelled my membership to switch somewhere actually focused on athletics and fitness, since a track workout would be more beneficial than w... read more

The Mountainside Fitness found in Tempe is a great place to knock out those workouts. The staff is incredibly friendly and they keep their facility super clean at all times. The view from this gym is unbelievable, it looks out over all of Tempe Town Lake. Imagine working out with that kind a view, the motivation sky rockets! I definitely recommend giving this gym a tour, it could be your next favorite place to be!
