RecommendedMy senior (senile, deaf and blind) dog, Nemo, was seemingly on the downward decline. One morning last week, I brought him to see Dr Smith in ER. We talked about conservative measures vs the Gold Standard of care...I was given options and TLC. Nemo was also smooched and loved on while we were apart. He was apparantely... a Lady Killer. We came in as a emergency referral from our usual vet when our jack Russell mix Tripp woke up on day 5 after being treated for a mild herniated disc, paralyzed in his back legs. We were immediately brought into a room and we had a treatment plan and consult within 30 minutes. We drove over an hour to see this vet. Our little guy is 4 and has had no health issues ever so we were devastated when something major like this happened. The staff was extremely caring. They treated my boy cat's urinary blockage as an emergency. He wouldn't have gotten better care if he had been human and in a hospital ER.

NVS has been very professional and loving as they take care of my senior cat. He is still in ICU, we are waiting for him to turn the corner and be able to eat on his own. Slow recovery from traumatic surgery and hours of anesthesia is expected but not easy to experience. I am grateful for all the staff that has taken time to communicate daily and allow me to visit. We had to have our 16 yr old Minature Pincher put down. The staff at Nashville Veterinary Specialists were incredibly sympathetic and caring. They gave us all the time we needed and told us about every step along the way. They made this horrific task as smooth and loving as possible. They also hooked us up with Pet Angels who cremated our beloved pet and returned his cremains to us within 48 hours.
