they traumatized my cat to the fullest & let him continue suffering with no pain meds . they said hes to aggressive & still wouldn't give him anything to confront him did surgery by his anal not knowing exactly wat happened to him only that he had infection terribly three different doctors told us different stories & they were all lies. 5days later am now having to put him down😭💔. I do not recommend this place to anyone 4 any reason period😡

Let me preface this by saying most reviews I have left online have always been for amazing service received from various businesses, but this is not going to be one of those. The staff at NVS (vet tech and front desk ladies) were nice and easy to deal which is why if given a 5 star scale to rate, I’d give at least 1 star. Disappointed in Nashville Veterinary Specialists. In April of this years my local Vet. did a ultrasound on my 11 year old Chihuahua, Beau and found a mass on his liver. On April 8, we took Beau to Nashville Veterinary Specialists and met with the oncologist Dr Mallard. Dr Mallard stated that a test would have to be done on Beau first, to see if he is capable for surgery. Our 3-yr-old lab has been at Nash. Vet. Spec. (NVS) for ingesting the last 20 pills of anxiety medicine intended for our 14 yr-old lab. The young lab is fine, and we’re paying $3K today for overnight tests/observation. We asked for a Rx for few pills of the anxiety medicine to last until out regular vet reopens Tues, and they’re refusing to write it w/o doing an exam of the old lab at an additional cost, even as they saw him in May 2023, saw the current prescription bottle, and know why we are out of it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hospital. Extremely overpriced for the work they provided my dog. Charge over 1000$ just to sedate him and give him an awful haircut and sent him home with two antibiotics that were very ineffective and one pain pill. Didn’t even clean his wounds!!!! Wanted 2500$ for him to stay overnight. After 7 HOURS waiting there they came back to tell me my dogs leg was dislocated.
