I have attended newman for 9 years and out of all my time here i would like to see the organization and information giving to get better. There is always a issue with communication for a event. The school is not horrible it is just very strict and some of the staff is very rude.
The bond that is built with the other students while attending Newman is one of the greatest things about the school. Although it may not have completely prepared me for college, I have gained quite a bit of knowledge.
NIAA has great culture. The teachers are very caring and provide the students with compassion. The coaches were more than just coaches. They taught life lessons, and used them as examples to the sport. I was overall bettered by the faculty and coaches during my four years and Newman International Academy. I felt at home.
The school year is good, they give us work but the teachers are preparing us for college. The teachers are nice and understanding.
What I love about Newman is the bonds that I have made with the people as well as the teachers. The teachers take time with you and work with you through everything. Something I would like to see different is giving the students a little more freedom than they deserve, as well as be a little more laid back.
I liked a few of the teacher, and that it is a small school so it was easier to open up to the people that surrounded me. The communication was terrible and needs to improve; the school was also very unorganized as they couldn't even keep the student attendance straight. Newman did try their best though they offered college fairs and international trips that I would never have gotten to participate in if I went to another school.
Newman International Academy in Arlington was the best decision I ever made. School has always been a struggle for me. I have multiple learning disabilities, and was socially awkward. Newman made me feel comfortable, and I began to excel in my studies. I have always been an BC student, but with the small classrooms, and caring teachers, I have a 3.7 GPA, and I have the confidence to apply at several Universities. If you are looking for a school that will help you achieve your goals, that is caring and supportive, you have fo... read more
This is my first year in Newman. I’ve been enjoying it so far. Newman is a great school. I’ve heard lots of good before attending it. Students and teachers are really nice. Teachers do their best to help students out. It is a small school and everything about it is perfect.
I had been a student here for around seven years and left last year. The school is wonderful for students who need a small space to work. The people there make you feel like family. It is undoubtedly comfortable. The downfall of the school is constancy in things such as phone call to parents, suspicion, and things along those lines. While this school like many others has it's faults it is also one of the best second chance schools around. This is all coming from a student who was expelled. I would recommend this school to th... read more
