The quality of the food has deteriorated substantially at this restaurant even as the prices have risen. My ribeye was over cooked, tough and partly inedible because of fat an gristle. As to scallops with risotto, always one of our favorites, the risotto was hard, not at all creamy and disappointing. Waited 35 minutes for a server. Finally flagged a bus service person to get a server. A waitress came to the table, apologized for the wait saying there was a miscommunication about which server was responsible for our table. She offered to comp our drinks. Ordered drinks and food immediately and waited 35 more minutes for sandwiches. Food was barely edible. Flavorless cod sandwich; burned croissant sandwich. We ordered the crab cakes which we normally would not do. The menu indicated the chef had won awards for it. As I struggled to find the crab in the mealy cake, I finally decided that it was not there. The main was the local fish...lightly sauteed with pico de gallo. For the price of the prime rib, it was chewy and thin. We had eaten there a few times, and this was the worst meal we had yet. The cocktail special egg nogg martini was bland did not taste of egg nogg or liquor.
unfortunately, we had inadequate service for our table of five. The food was slow coming to us, and the champagne we ordered was room temperature. We enjoyed much of what we had but as the host, I was very very disappointed. On another date earlier in the month at this restaurant, I also was served room temperature champagne. That service was also lacking.
My husband and I ordered the Lamb Rack, and the whole dish was extremely dry, the lamb had a pinch of sauce, no flavor at all, served with marbled potatoes and vegetables, a plate with a lack of taste and extremely dry
At best, our dinner was of poor quality. The pork schnitzel with noodles that my wife had lacked any kind of seasoning, it was totally tasteless. I had seared scallops that were of the same quality.
Ambience was great. Server was very nice and attentive. Unfortunately the cook modified a dish without telling me in advance and I felt ill the remainder of the night. Will only go back for drinks, not food.
Seated quickly but server did not come to our table and we actually ordered drinks with our host who seated us and he returned with one wrong one . We ordered the calamari , mussels and Caesar salad with chicken The calamari was just undercooked which was ok but not crispy Then after a very long wait the mussels appeared They where not hot and tasted sour and mushy My guess is they were sitting around waiting to be served We sent them back.
