Really disappointed in the meals here. Both meals were very poorly plated, with the main dish served on top of mashed potatoes which absorbed any sauce that was supposed to be on them. The sole meuniere seemed breaded (more than drenched in flour). Service poor as well. Received out glasses of wine, after our salads were completely eaten. Great location and view, but wouldn't go back.
we were extremely disappointed. but most of all they seemed to be short staff and had workers from the hotel working in the restaurant. they were all seriously undertrained and had no clue how to work in a fine dining establishment. we actually saw 3 tables get up and leave. and a couple other tables complaining about the service. I guess we should have left as well. the food was way overpriced for the lack of quality.
We have eaten here before and always enjoyed it. This time, it took over half an hour before our drinks were delivered and our order taken The scallops I had were ok but the risotto was not seasoned AT ALL and the presentation was very beige - some chives or something green would have been appreciated. I had to keep putting salt on it to find any flavor. My husbands flat iron steak had gristle running through it. Perhaps due to Covid, they are having problems, but we were very disappointed.
They charged us twice for our meal we need to put in a formal complaint.
The food looked so promising on the menu, but while the presentation was fine, the food was absolutely horrible. We had to send back two entrées. The fish was not cooked through on one and the other one had mushrooms all over it when that was not described for that entrée. The appetizers were mediocre at best. We came to find out that the executive chef was not there that night nor was the manager. Apparently it was a free-for-all in the kitchen. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Destination grounds and gardens and excellent food. However, the service our last 2 visits has left much to be desired. On both occasions service was slooowwwww, even waiting to receive our bill. Most recently, I ordered a beer with lunch which did not arrive until after our meal was served, and only then because I reminded the waiter of the order. Is there a staffing problem?
Food was delicious but the experience was ruined by it taking over an hour to get our meals. No drinks for 25 minutes after being seated. This was with a reservation.
I recently sat on the patio with my husband and another couple. The view was lovely, the restaurant was pretty and clean, and the food was excellent. There seemed to be a problem with either understaffing, the ordering system, or both. I completely understand that issues with staffing occur, as well as glitches in electronic systems. However the comically long gaps in service along with zero communication as to what we might expect left something to be desired. At one point it was explained to us at the end of the meal, afte... read more
One person in our party of three when the food arrived the steak was cold. I have eaten here on four different occasions and feel the quality has really gone down hill. The next time I am in town I will definitely be trying a new restaurant.
