What can I say? I am astounded, literally stunned by the quality of service that I received here. I have worked in the Automotive industry for over 6 years, and haven't ever really needed to use one of these places on account of either working at a dealership or having all the necessary tools at home. I was ripped off by Jiffy Lube so badly that I swore I'd abandon my oil-devoid car at the side of the road before I'd go back to any Jiffy Lube, anywhere. My bad experience there made me wary of any drive-in quickie oil-change place. Ideally, I'd take my car into my usual mechanic, but for something as minor as an oil change, it's not feasible to leave my car there for the whole day. This place deserves every star on this rating. Seriously. I was suspicious when my husband added that if I didn't wanna spend a bajillion pesos at the dealership to get our second-in-command car lubed up, that Jiffy Lube (those sheisters!!) was not an option but Oilstop was. I love this place! I get to stay in my comfy car and don't have to sit in a dirty grimy plastic chair in a dingey waiting room. I like being able to witness them do the work. They crew is exceedingly polite, courteous and friendly. They offer a lot of upgrade options. They are quick and efficient and have a selection of cold and hot complimentary beverages. How much better can it get! Quick, friendly and a free drink!
I'm picky about my vehicles and where I take them for service. I'm always very hesitant to take them into Jiffy Lube and other oil change places. If I do, I always have to stand there and watch the workers to make sure they don't do something dumb (I saw one start my truck without oil in it once!). I went in for an oil change...I told them that was all I want. It was my first time changing my oil. My husband usually handles it. They said to me "We do a 33 point inspection" I say oh okay, thinking that they were explaining to me what came with the oil change. It wasn't until I got home that I realized it was an extra charge. They have kids running the shop and they hounded me about a million extra things. I went in saying ALL I WANT IS AN OIL CHANGE!!!
Hmm...Jiffy Lube across the street or this drive-thru? Seeing as that I liked the idea of getting in and out super quick, I thought I'd go with the latter. Besides, those exposes of Jiffy Lube and their shenanigans weren't doing them any favors in my mind! I really liked the idea of just sitting in your car while they performed the oil change.
