Great little zoo with big surprises, tigers and panthers on full display ! We couldn't see the jaguar cause its enclosure is being refurbished but we sure be back in 2027 when it will open, is gonna be awesome. They do have capibaras and xolo salamanders , very interested to watch. The zoo is little but very shady and it doesn't feel crowded. The splash pad for the kids is amazing. Definitely worth the visit.

Business response:

Ana, we really appreciate this incredibly positive and thorough review! You're certainly right, our jaguar habitat is going through some incredible renovations, and we're excited to show how expansive it will be, along with sharing the important conservation we do out in Belize with wild jaguars. The shade and splash pad are both great ways to keep cool. We're glad both things helped add to your experience. Please visit again soon!

Yes, it's a small zoo. It is very shaded which was really nice on a hot day. I would highly recommend going in the morning... we learned that's when the animals are fed and active. Unfortunately we went at noon and I would say we didn't see most animals. It was disappointing.

Business response:

Dydee, we're glad the shade provided a positive experience for you, even during the hot weather. The activity times of our animals do vary, especially by species. Some will be more active in the morning, and some in the afternoon. We recommend checking out animal chats, too. Throughout the day, our chats are a good way to see more of their behaviors while learning about the species. We hope we can welcome you back soon!

We ended up here after a change of plans, and I'm so glad we did -- this was the highlight of our day. The zoo is clean, well-maintained, and the animals all looked well cared for. We saw so many active animals -- tigers, lions, monkeys, a jaguar (absolutely beautiful), and even baby capybaras, which were adorable. My daughter's favorite part was the bird feeding area where the birds land on you -- she had the best time and it was really fun to watch. We also enjoyed the carousel and had lunch on-site, which was decent fo... read more

As a teacher, our family membership to the Palm Beach Zoo has become one of the best investments for spontaneous, stress-free weekends. There's nothing better than waking up, deciding to go, and knowing we'll have a fun day outdoors without a lot of planning. We love visiting the animals, and feeding the birds is always a highlight for the kids--it's something they look forward to every single time. The zoo is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxed family outing. The sit-down restaurant is also a big hit with my f... read more

This is a nice little zoo that is great for families with young children. I went with my family the day after Christmas and my 2 year old was able to walk the whole thing. We were able to get through the whole zoo in about 2.5 hours but we did not stop to look at everything. There is a decent variety of animals, without having to take the trek to Zoo Miami. Though there are not elephants, giraffes, rhinos etc like they have in Miami. There are koalas, tigers, jaguars, bears, capibaras, flamingos, lemurs and an albino gator.

Business response:

Pam, Thank you for taking the team to leave a nice review of the Zoo! We appreciate that you thought about visiting us during the holidays. As a non-profit, when you visit us, you're helping to save wildlife in wild places and with conservation projects beyond the gate. We hope to welcome you back soon.
