It was time for my Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to be neutered. Not only did he need to be neutered, he had an umbilical hernia, and was cryptorchid, so I knew his costs were going to be higher. My local livermore vet told me it would run from $400-$600. 4 other vets I called said up to $1000!!! Some said he would need pre-op blood work, an ECG, and IV fluids - all because he's a "Cavalier".
