Dr. Kerner was professional and understood what my pain was. He ordered PT. I found Dr. Kerner charming and a good listener.
The visit was super fast. I got a cortisone shot which turns out it helped the pain from 2 torn ligaments in foot (noted from MRI). He told me if the cortisone doesn't work in a day or two he would see me back. And he left immediately after giving the shot. So I assumed I was free to go and did so. I didnt get any detail about the torn ligaments or what to expect. I didnt get any instructions on how to care for afterwards. Do I keep wearing the boot if pain stops? Do I go back to work after the shot or rest?
He has a great personality, and seems to really care about his patients. Took a safe and protected approach to my injury and made me confident in my path to recovery. Really appreciate him.
I would recommend Dr. Kerner. He works efficiently in the office & in the operating room and answers questions in detail.
Dr. Paul Kerner is excellent, professional, addressed all the questions I had for him, and worked super efficiently with me and my very high level of pain. I am very thankful and happy to have him as my doctor. Highly recommend him.
First time in a long time I felt a dr took time to really listen to me.
Doc was efficient and direct. I was just hoping to get out of my boot and he granted a trial. If pain worsens, he explained next steps. If not, I’m out! Glad not to hear “surgery” from a surgeon. They clearly see a lot of patients and if I were still having major concerns, I’d expect more time and attention than I got. As it were, the PA had cancelled my appointment at a closer location so this was a replacement in Oxford for same day. Was grateful to be seen.
100% satisfied! I work in healthcare so I realize a couple of things other reviewers may not 1. Dr Kerner works for a company that puts time limits on patient appts in order for physicians to see more patients within a short amount of time. 2. Dr Kerner is an orthopedic surgeon - surgeons are hit or miss with bedside manner. Dr Kerner was speedy (about 5 min) during all 3 of my visits (so far), but he was pleasant, knowledgeable, & direct. Of course, I thought of questions when he left the room, but I found the patient porta... read more
The doctor came in and I could tell from the get go he was in a hurry. Asked how pain was, told him better but still hurts. Told a complete different diagnosis from previous doctor. As going out the door told me to take over the counter drug and lose weight due to my morbid obesity.
