Great doctors! Unfortunately, pender is way more business oriented than animal oriented. They care more about how they can generate more money from you rather than caring about you and your pet. Even some of the employees tell you this. It has nothing to do with affording or not. I still take my pets there but at the same time am considering another place. Again, great great doctors! They are awesome. It's just that their main focus is money.

My puppy broke her leg at 9 weeks old. Pender got us in quickly for surgery and as of yesterday, she's fully healed! I can't thank Dr. Denney and the Pender staff enough for all their help!

I’ve been taking my pets to this practice since the 1980’s. Love ALL the veterinarians, technicians, and front office staff!! For those that feel their rates are high, Consumer’s Checkbook indicates otherwise! Just LOVE Pender—both Fair Oaks and Chantilly!!

Dr. Andrew Voell is a great vet. Not only he is very knowledgeable, but also great with pets and pet’s parents. My 8 years of Bicheon (16 lb) has had bronchitis and pneumonia. She couldn’t tolerate medication, threw up, vomiting for 5 days and lost a lot of weight quickly. Tried another vet. She tolerated the medicine, but her illness wasn’t improve much. Dr. Voell gave my dog a shot. She didn’t have bad reaction and has been improving. He just knew what to do. He also did a lot of surgeries to dogs and cats. Highly recomme... read more

Pender is a mostly-good but mixed bag. The older, more experienced vets are wonderful and knowledgeable and the emergency service we've received there for years is outstanding. It is on the pricey side. At our recent visit we got one of the younger, less experienced vets and she ended up wanting All The Testing ($$$) and was pretty rigid in her recommendations (and left out a couple options that I knew about from other sources). Great service, very friendly and accommodating - I showed up a day early to my appointment because I misread the appointment date. They were super understanding and squeezed me in anyway because I was already there. Definitely recommend!
