We've been with Pender for about 6 years now and have had nothing but wonderful experiences there. Drs. Polnow and Lentz are the kindest humans on the planet. They are knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. Most recently, Dr. Polnow saw our senior doggo for what we feared was a terminal issue. She couldn't have been more helpful--and she found nothing to suggest that our pup was in a serious condition--just aging and needed some meds to help with chronic pain. Dr. Lentz is the best Vet in the DMV area. I have taken my pets to vets in Virginia and Maryland, and Dr. Lentz is by far the most patient with my pit bull and my two cats. My dog is a super nervous fella, but Dr. Lentz is as sweet as can be with him. She is also very patient with my aggressive cat. I have taken my pets to other Vets who have been extremely impatient, which doesn't help their anxiety at all. I highly recommend Dr. Lentz and Pender, which is a great veterinary practice. I feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful veterinarian. Dr Denney and Kayla take great care of our two miniature goldendoodles. Dr Denney has a wonderful bedside manner! He shows compassion and listens to concerns while putting everyone at ease. I highly recommend Pender Veterinary Centre.

My dog had a great visit with Dr. Denney and Kayla today. I was very impressed with the new setup of Dr. Denney having a dedicated competent tech. I had become very discouraged with the office staff over the last 10 years, to the point that as much as I like and respect Dr. Denney, I was considering other clinics, the office staff was that bad. Always an amazing experience with Dr. Adesso. She is so caring, and she truly listens to her clients, both 2-legged and 4-legged ones! We trust her 100% with our furkids.

We have two senior kitties whom we adore. We’ve been seeing Dr. Justine McKinnon, whom I cannot recommend more. She is thorough, caring, dedicated, and deeply informed and great at explaining complexities. She is great with follow up on test results, etc. Overall, I am confidant that all the veterinarians here are extremely capable. If you have senior kitties or a pet family member that has a complex health issue that your general veterinarian cannot solve, it can be solved here.

We have come to Pender twice now with two different dogs for an emergency visit and they have been so incredible both times. They are very thorough in their work and also warm and kind from the front office staff to the vets and vet techs. We will always recommend Pender.
