We love Pender! They take great care of our dogs, and are always available to help a Golden whose rambunciousness has gotten them in trouble. Pender has helped us with every stage of our dogs' lives, and we don't go anywhere else. <3 <3

I love how our pet and us have always been treated at Pender, with the upmost loving care and expediency. Nonetheless, this last time the technician that took care of my dog seemed to be in a hurry, rushing when she came to pickup our dog and rushing to deliver it back. I asked if we could groom her and she say yes while heading to the door. Luckily another tec that had taken care of us in the past came by and looked at our pet and told us to better wait another week before grooming and to keep the t-shirt on her. Still, w... read more

We are very happy with the care and professionalism at all levels that goes into running a 24 hour animal hospital. Our dog was seen by one of the expert surgeons, Dr Hyatt, for TPLO surgery, and is recovering well - it’s a long recovery. We have also used their emergency services over the years.

Pender has cared for my family's cats since we moved to the area in 2004. We always appreciate their patience with any questions we have about routine care or treatment plans. It's not hard to get a same-day visit when necessary, and knowing they have 24 hour emergency service is great for our peace of mind. Pender staff and vets have been especially compassionate and thoughtful with end of life care for our beloved friends. Dr. Flanary and Dr. Adesso stand out for their excellent bedside manner and communication.

Pender was able to see my dog same day on Black Friday! Very friendly staff and gentle with my scared dog. Excellent service and provided meds to heal my dog.

Pender is the best vet center in the DMW. Our Rhodesian ridgebacks have been cared for by Dr. Denney since 1991. We are now on our 5th generation of ridgebacks. There is NO other practice in the DMV that we trust with our beloved pets (and for convenience we tried others). Dr. Denney and his team listen to our concerns and create a special bond with the pets under their care to develop a treatment plan. The reception staff courteous and friendly.
