I cannot discourage you with any more passion - DO NOT allow a loved one to be admitted here!!! Research the facility yourself in more ways than just Yelp. Look http://hfcis.cdph.ca.gov/longtermcare/details/Complaint.aspx?fac=030000560 This is the State agency that IF people know they can file a complaint, they do it here. My mother in-law came to the facility to do 2 weeks of post-op rehabilitation. The instructions for post operative care were not followed, not even closely. There was very little physical therapy, ice was not applied as prescribed by the doctor, the majority of the staff did not know how to use the equipment she required and the wait time for pain medication was often extensive. We brought our father to Pine Creek as he had remembered visiting a friend there a few years ago and seemed to have a good recollection of the place. He was admitted on a Friday afternoon for physical and occupational therapy with the expectation of about a 2 week stay. We got him settled in and all seemed well. The following morning, Saturday, our father was extremely agitated and wanted to be taken out immediately. This place was awful. My son does not speak and therefore had I not been there with him almost all the time, he would have received almost no care. I told them over and over that he does not drink water, or other fluids. We feed him ice chips, or drinks with a spoon. He is unable to feed himself. They continued to bring him water, or snacks, and leaving them on his table, with no attempt to have anyone feed it to him. We had to continually ask for ice chips. Don't do it!! My mother was brought to this facility for wound care after a short stay at the hospital. My mother is 85 years old, but of sound mind, alert and talkative. This place does not separate the "long term" patients from the ones that are actually there to rehab. The roommate in my mothers room was certainly a long term patient and had been there for some time. Not to sound insensitive, but she ground her teeth 24x7, mom said that went on all night long. Admin is Horriable They are not about the patients but the $$$$ My Mom contracted Cdiff 3 times with in the 100 days After requesting several times to talk with a Doctor I only got a few updates Never about the next steps. I will have to say the Medical and CNA staff was great! I will have to say I would not recommend this place The State is investagating with how they are pushing out patients with less insurance than others
