Get directionsI have an aunt in this place, my aunt cannot see, the left her with the food just sitting, they closed the door while she was just sitting there for hours. My family went up there in the rain to make sure ate. They left her by herself to feed herzherself, . She cannot see to feed herself, all the food was all over her. We almost had to break the window to get in, my daughter was hysterical feeling like her hands was tied. We trust our love ones to this place trusting they will get the help they need. I am so angry at ... read more
Welcome to the black hole of information and support. If you are looking for a place to put your frail and aging parent or grandparent and not receive accurate information on their condition or release date this is your place. If you want your elderly or ailing loved one to come out the same way they went in then this is your place. If you want a cavalcade of different people answering the phone and starting from scratch each time this is your place. If you want to leave messages and wait 2 hours or more twice within the sam... read more
From neglect to retaliation! This place is horrible! Excuse after excuse for the poor care. Staff spends too much time on their cell phones on personal calls than caring for the people paying to stay there. Talking to the director is a waste of time. He acknowledges problems but does nothing to resolve the issues. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!
Business response:
Kev, I'm sorry to hear about your experience at our care center. We take allegations of this nature seriously but need more information to follow up. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. Thanks, Todd, Administrator (916) 782-7007
My grandfather came here post op rehabilitation after suffering a fall that resulted in him breaking both his hip and his wrist, I cannot stress enough how much I would discourage you to stay away from this place. My grandfather was expected a full recovery but this place is the reason he stopped fighting to live. They put him in a room with a roommate who would keep it dark all the time. The TV was kept blasting at all hours of the day making it impossible for my grandfather to rest and his roommate kept the curtain drawn a... read more
Business response:
Hi Katarina, Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. As a practice, we find this type of feedback very informative. It sounds like you do not feel your grandfather had the type of experience that you wanted or that we strive to give. We are so sorry to hear about that and would love to speak with you to better address the situation. I know it has been a year, but please feel free to contact me at 916-782-7007. If I'm not immediately available, the receptionist can provide you with my cell phone number. Thank... read more
If you have a loved one who might require a longer stay or someone that might need more assistance PLEASE stay somewhere else. My 92 year old mother stayed at Pine Creek for 4 weeks and I was there daily to see the goings on. During her stay, an older male CNA was assigned to her room. Instead of using the toilet, he wanted her to poop in her bed. She was in a wheelchair next to the bathroom and I was there to witness this. He was actually putting her back in her bed and said it was easier! He was very rough with moving... read more
Nursing staff 6 out of 5 stars! Social Services 0 out of 5 stars. The director is big title, small brain cells, and a machismo attitude. Other staff 5 out of 5 stars.
This facility seems to be significantly understaffed and I ended up feeling sorry for most of the staff there, but felt more sorry for my 91 year old mother who was there for 5 weeks for 'wound care' after an operation in a local hospital discharged her to a rehabilitation facility. We were given a few options, and Pine Creek seemed to have the "least worst reviews", which is obviously an unfortunate way to have to make a choice. They kept her in the facility until the very day her expenses were no longer going to be paid ... read more
I was in this facility in December for rehab of a fractures femur, the PT and OT staff were good and caring. Now for the rest of the stay, if you Love someone, go and visit a place after 11:00 PM at night, it becomes a place from Hell! Call lights are ignored, I mean for 20to 30 minutes, nothing! I called the outside number to get help for 2 of my roommates, they were past the 30 min waiting time, one had her oxygen shut off & person responding asked why she shut it off! She could not get out of bed!, finally after 3rd ... read more
My mother was transferred there after complications from a kidney transplant at UC DAVIS. They put it an infected kidney and she went into septic shock. She became very ill and they obligated us to put her in a rehab before going home. We felt aweful having to put a loved one in a rehab however they spoke very highly of this facility and we finally agreed to it. They said it was one of the best. This was the worst thing we could have done! Their website shows a very luxurious place, however once my mother was admitted there ... read more
