Got the vacuum from our pool builder right at two years ago. Stopped working after having for 20 months. Since it was winter didn't think much. Start of spring called tech support no help. Took to a dealer to get looked at. Was told out of warranty by a year. Had it just at two years. But, pool builder had it a year before given to us. So warranty was up. Told needed a new cord $425 plus other work. For the cost of this cleaner should last more than two swim seasons.

Love the cleaner does a great job but the cord is forever tangled constantly trying to remove twists in cord I would by a replacement cord but for the price I'll buy a new machine with a swivel on it

We don’t want to inundate you with advice, but we have a few suggestions to help with cord tangling: 1) Allow the cleaner to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 2) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 3) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot We hope these tips help. SO.. Don't buy this product because: 1.It does not clean properly all areas(which is in a way acceptable) 2.Steps missed completely.(Still acceptable, I can clean with the manual vacuum ) 3.The jet stream out the back of it while climbing the wall turns up some of the dirt at the bottom of the pool That dirt then settles back down after the clean. So you will spend 1000 dollars for a vacuum that spreads the debris. Finally when the vacuum is removed from pool some minor debris come out from filter still don't understan... read more

Just bought the 9530 Polaris While it does clean large and small particles the cord tangling is horrible.. I’ve had to de tangle the cord every time I use the unit. As it tangles and twists so much it stops the unit from covering whole pool. The unit then simply flips upside down due to insufficient Cord . Very disappointed I’m sorry I didn’t buy another Hayward Aqua Vac .
