As I had read before buying, all automatic pool cleaners are for cleaning and maintaining an already clean pool. When opening a pool in the spring you still need to clean with the leaf bag vac to remove the large debris and vac the pool through your pool system and filter to capture the fine dirt. The robot can be used but fills to quickly and does not get all of the fine dirt. Also it does not cover all of the area of a pool surface when you see were it has passed. This is star-of-the-art pool cleaning. So far it’s been great. The vacuum power is incredible. The only set back is once under water for a few minutes—you loose the ability to communicate via the app, which is WiFi driven. But, overall I’m happy with my Polaris Freedom!!
