The shaft seal had to be replaced. I have a brand new pool. The electrician/ pool company had the pump wired to where you could not turn it off separately from the main pump. It therefore ran continuously. Apparently the booster pump should not be on when the robot clearer is not hooked into the port/ jet in pool.
