Great pump! Exactly what I was looking for.
Great pump so far. I have used sta-rite (now owned by pentair) pumps and they work fine. A bit louder. They last maybe 4 years. The last one i had was a pentair. Fairly quiet butt only lasted 2 years. The pentair was a 1 hp, the zodiac is 3/4hp but has more power and a much bigger motor. ITT seems more heavy duty to me. I purchased the zodiac because it is the company that makes the Polaris pumps. I have a Polaris sweep so why not a Polaris booster. check your voltage. The motor comes wired internally for 220V you can change to 110V. follow the wire diagram on the side of the pump to change the windings. It took a little longer to receive then I thought but worth the wait.
Direct Replacement for Original Pump After shopping around a bit I found this pump to be reasonably priced, especially considering I received it in two days. It runs very quiet and works ads well as my original did when it was new.

So Far So Good The pump is the same brand and model that was on my pool originally and it lasted for 10 years so I am hoping that this will be the same. Right now it has been running great for a week and is pretty quiet. Time will tell if it will keep working as it is supposed to. The pump arrived quickly and was not damaged in the box. There is not a lot of packing to keep it from being banged around but what they had in there seemed to work as it was supposed to.
Works great Some reviews said don't buy, doesn't work. I wired it, put on the hoses, turned the water back on and it has run great ever since. Several months now.
Well Built Booster Pump The Polaris PB4-60 is easy to install and runs with great pressure and very little noise. Be advised that I talked with a Polaris Rep after I installed the pump and was informed that the/my warranty was voided because I installed it myself and I'm not a certified pool pump installer. I relayed this info back to Amazon because the "self install = warranty voided" was not mentioned anywhere on the original Item description page.
