While the stock bag is great for leaf and large debris I use this with a Polaris 280 pressure side cleaner with booster pump. While the stock bag is great for leaf and large debris, the stock bag does miss silt and sand. This bad is significantly smaller than the bad included with the Polaris (less than 1/2 the size) so I only use it when the pool is clear of large debris and it does a fantastic job of picking up the sand, silt, and dirt which blows in or comes with rain. 4 stars because the bad is fragile. OEM QUALITY. Expensive but flat out WORKS and lasts if cleaned out when full. Expensive, but OEM quality which should last 2 maybe South West seasons if you clean them out regularly. I have a sandstone waterfall that sheds off lots of sediment so I need the Sand/Silt bag. I forgot to check the order, but spend the xtra few bucks and get the zippered bag because although this one works the velcro strip traps alot of sand/dirt.

I would not recommend this bag for pools with lots of leaves or ... This bag really keeps the bottom of my pool clean but requires me to empty the bag more frequently. I would not recommend this bag for pools with lots of leaves or other debris. It works well for picking up small particles that usually pass through a multi-purpose bag.
Good Product: Collects Sand as Advertised. We had a new pool constructed this year, and the pool company used sand to fill in the construction damage to the yard. The regular Zodiac pool bag was not cleaning up the sand that ended up in the bottom of the pool. I bought this bag and the results are awesome. Great bag! I recently went thru a hail storm ... Great bag! I recently went thru a hail storm and it picked up all the granules from the roof that fell into the pool with no problem
Great Replacement Bag Mesh is fine enough to catch the sand that gets into my pool - unlike the factory bag that came with my Polaris. The Velcro closure will outlast the zipper that failed on the original bag too.
