Polaris Sand/Silt Bag, 3900/280 - K14
About this business
Filters pretty well and easy to use Filters pretty well and easy to use. It doesn't catch super fine silt but it catches a lot more than my other bags caught. It's also easier to clean I think because it's not huge. It needs to be dumped more often than my other bags because it gets heavy with sand because it catches so much. If it were bigger, the cleaner wouldn't be able to move when it was full.
Great Product and good customer service for problem with the item This was a good price and the right product compared to local pool stores. We received the item on time, but when it was opened the product had a small hole in the fine mesh that would have allowed the sand/silt to slip through. I send an email through the email communication on the Amazon order sheet and they responded quickly and immediately shipped a new one. (There was no way they could have known the item was defective, it was in the original sealed plast... read more
Ok Bag These bags do the job they are designed to do. They are expensive. I wished they would last longer than a couple of months. They always tear at the seam.
Nice filter It is a bit pricey but it does seem to do the job. Bring the price down a few dollars would give it another star
Another good buy This is an exact replacement for the Polaris 280 and is a fine mesh bag. The purchase price was about 35% less than what the pool supply stores wanted.
Polaris 280 Sand/Silt Bag Part that was delivered from Amazon.com was a genuine Polaris part for the 280 cleaner. Works great, just as described. Revised design is not as easy to get collected debris removed from bag but just a minor irritant. I preferred the previous design but I guess that is progress and/or cost control. Very happy with service and product.
Polaris 280 sand/silt filtration bag This bag has made a difference in the amount of dirt in our pool. It would be nice if the bag was zippered instead of Velcro, but it has made a noticeable difference.
Sand yes, silt, not so much I purchased this bag as a replacement for the standard bag that come with my Polaris 280 which I purhased in May 2012. While it does work better for sand, it doesn't work much better for fine silt material. It is a little smaller than the standard bag, but I expected this given it's purpose. It actually works fine for everyday use. If we have a storm and alot of leaves get in the pool, I can use the standard bag's larger capacity to handle that. The velcro on this bag can get gummed up with debris. ... read more
LOVE IT This bag picks up everything on the bottom of my pool and it is the only bag I use now. The only thing I hat is it is velcro and I like the zipper better, less messy to clean out. So hopefully they start making these with zippers instead of velcro!!!
