Polaris 280 Sand/Silt Bag Part that was delivered from Amazon.com was a genuine Polaris part for the 280 cleaner. Works great, just as described. Revised design is not as easy to get collected debris removed from bag but just a minor irritant. I preferred the previous design but I guess that is progress and/or cost control. Very happy with service and product.
Polaris 280 sand/silt filtration bag This bag has made a difference in the amount of dirt in our pool. It would be nice if the bag was zippered instead of Velcro, but it has made a noticeable difference.
Sand yes, silt, not so much I purchased this bag as a replacement for the standard bag that come with my Polaris 280 which I purhased in May 2012. While it does work better for sand, it doesn't work much better for fine silt material.It is a little smaller than the standard bag, but I expected this given it's purpose. It actually works fine for everyday use. If we have a storm and alot of leaves get in the pool, I can use the standard bag's larger capacity to handle that.The velcro on this bag can get gummed up with debris. ... read more
LOVE IT This bag picks up everything on the bottom of my pool and it is the only bag I use now. The only thing I hat is it is velcro and I like the zipper better, less messy to clean out. So hopefully they start making these with zippers instead of velcro!!!
Bag is smaller than it used to be These Polaris bags are pricey. The one I replaced had a large zippered bag. This one has a velcro opening, and is much smaller. I don't think I will purchase any more of these, will look for something bigger with a zipper.
Much better than the stock bag on the Polaris 280 I just purchased a Polaris 280 and it suggested that I purchase this item. Man was it the right decision. This thing captures fine sand and dirt that the stock filter bag may let through. I have had my pool full for 2 months after getting the polaris line installed and I have only had to backwash the filter once (and it happened 2 weeks ago). Silt bag works fine. I purchased the silt bag as an extra for my new polaris. I was expecting it to be identical to the original; it is not identical, but I think it is better because the fabric of the bag is more durable and has a finer weaver to strain out more of the small debris. This bag works great and is better for the fine stuff.
Great product! Received as advertised This is a great product at a great price! I received this item fast and it was exactly as advertised. it even came with the clip to attach to the hose. Not only was this an exact OEM replacement but it was almost 1/2 the cost of purchasing from my local pool dealer. I recommend this product and this seller.
