I am happy with the purchase I am happy with the purchase, but as of yet not used. Have been away and had patched my old one to work alittle longer. I was the right one so all is good!
Sand and Silt bag works very well This sand and silt bag works very well. I use it in conjunction with two zip up bags for my Polaris 280. It picks up the sand and grit very well. the pool floor and water is much cleaner now. I had a previous Polaris 160 which had the Velcro sealed bag, so this is no problem for emptying and revealing the sand and silt bag. I plan to use the sand and silt bag during the regular swim season in the summer. Then use my regular bags for the Fall and Spring when larger debris like leaves and pine... read more
For finer cleaning. Smaller than the zipper bag, but intended for sand/silt, not leaves or other larger debris. We run the Polaris with the zipper bag first and then do a finer clean with this bag. It saves a lot of time vacuuming!
collects all the fine silt in pool Replaced old bag that ripped after several years of use. I like this bag over the bigger mesh bag because it does a great job of trapping all the fine stuff that the Polaris vacumes up. I have had no problems with Velcro closure on this bag.
It's okay - smaller, but with finer mesh, than factory Replaced this for our original bag, which broke, on our Polaris 280 F5. It's been a month, and I have 3 observations:1 (BAD): The bag is much smaller in capacity than the original. The linear dimensions are about 80% of the original. That means in 3-D, the capacity is only about 1/2 of the original. This means double the joyous chore of cleaning out the bag.2 (GOOD): The mesh material seems to be finer than the original, which means the bag can now pick up finer particle... read more
Good product. This filter bag is of as high a quality as you would get from Leslie's or any other pool store.... except it's less expensive. I like to keep a couple of these extra (regular and silt/sand) because they do wear out from sun and chlorine.
OEM Replacement This is a replacement for the silt bag that comes from Polaris. The bag traps a finer material, but the Velcro on the unit does need to be cleaned well when emptying the bag before re-securing, seems some people would prefer a zipper, but for this application the Velcro works well. I also have a large leaf bag with a zipper and it sometimes gets a little sticky with sand etc, but it has never been stuck...the Velcro may be a little bit of a cost saving measure. Still a good piece for the price.
better than the bigger mesh bag; hard to clean but worth it The mesh is finer than the mesh on the "regular" bag we used to have on the Polaris. A lot of the stuff in our pool is fine and small, so this bag catches more of it, so we like that. It's a bit hard to clean, but worth the few extra minutes of time. A bit on the expensive side for what it is.
As well as could be expected The bag fit the Polaris, but still was not really fine enough to capture all of the silt or sand at the bottom, so had to put a sea sponge in the bag. Then the Polaris unit completely died, and the bag is not compatible with the newer model.
